Finding a Truly Hypnotic Hypnosis Course – The Key Elements That You Should Know
Finding a Truly Hypnotic Hypnosis Course – The Key Elements That You Should Know
I take on a handful of hypnosis students for training at the start of each year. Recently, one potential recruit who had been declined for a place (due to sheer number of applicants unfortunately) contacted me to ask this question: “How do I find a truly hypnotic hypnosis course to study?” Now this girl was incredibly talented and driven, and it always flatters me to read such requests for guidance. I was in the process of writing back to her when I realised that other people are probably crying out for similar advice. So here is my guide to finding a hypnotic hypnosis course of your own to follow!
Any hypnotic hypnosis course needs to have one primary aspect sorted from the get-go. If you have no idea what this might be, that’s perfectly fine, because it’s one of the most overlooked aspects when trying to evaluate a course. I’m talking about the method of delivery. Not all courses are suitable for all students. Success and overall student satisfaction depends as much on the learner’s style as on the trainer’s.
If you’re not sure about the point above, consider what kind of learner you are yourself. Do you read a lot of books and love to study into the early hours at a desk? Or are you one of the significant number of people who learn better through other means?
A “truly hypnotic hypnosis course”, as my dear wannabe-student liked to term it, must cater to this aspect of your personality. I’ve met and mentored several students who were comfortable in a text-book environment, similar to the methods I experienced myself during my training.
However, it’s many years since I finished my beginner’s courses, and the world has moved on. These days there are much more interactive and easy to learn methods for hypnosis lessons. One example would be CD’s alongside any written material. This type of material has been a huge hit with my students, and I haven’t had any negative feedback. I’m thrilled to hear of my ex-students talking about my hypnotic hypnosis course in such a positive manner, and for you to succeed in yours I urge you to consider this aspect with the utmost importance.
You’ll be incredibly glad you did!
